Privacy Policy

Effective: September 16, 2026 · song.money

The short version: we store what's needed to render your videos, post them where you tell us, and pay you. We never sell your data, we never send marketing email — we send no email at all — and your music stays private unless you explicitly publish it.

1. What we collect

Account identity
Your provider ID and, if the provider shares it, your email address and display name. We never receive or store a password — sign-in is OAuth through Google, TikTok or Facebook.
Music you upload or import
Audio files, track titles and artist names. Imported SoundCloud tracks come from your own account via the official API.
Derived audio data
Spectral analysis, tempo and energy, plus an automatic transcription of lyrics used for captions. Transcription runs on our own server.
Rendered output
The videos, posters and artwork generated from your music, and the creative specification used to make them.
Connected accounts
Access tokens for the platforms you connect, encrypted at rest, plus the account name and avatar the platform returns.
Post performance
Views, likes, comments and watch-through for posts we published, fetched from the platform's own analytics API.
Money records
Payments, earnings, splits, licences and payout addresses. Card and bank details are handled by PayPal and never reach our servers.
Public contributions
Song pages, creations, comments and creator profiles you choose to publish.
Operational logs
Request logs and error reports, including IP address, kept for security and debugging.

2. What is public, and what isn't

Private by default: your uploads, your rendered videos, your analytics, your earnings and your dashboard. None of it is visible to anyone else.

Public only when you choose: a song page you publish, videos you feature in the showcase, creations and comments you submit, bounties you post or enter, and your creator profile. Your profile shows only work that is already public elsewhere — a submission awaiting review never appears. Your email address is never shown publicly.

3. Who we share it with

TikTok, YouTube, Instagram
The video, caption and settings for posts you schedule, plus reading back performance figures. Only for accounts you connect.
SoundCloud
Read access to your own catalog, when you connect it as an import source.
PayPal
Payment and payout processing — subscriptions, bounty funding, tips, licences and withdrawals. They receive the amounts and the payout address; we never see full payment credentials.
Anthropic (optional)
When the hosted creative director is enabled, a numeric summary of a track (tempo, energy, band balance) plus its title and artist is sent to design the visual concept. No audio is ever sent. This can run entirely on our own server instead, with no third party involved.
Hosting
Our own server infrastructure, which stores and serves your files.

That is the complete list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

4. How long we keep it

Source uploads are deleted automatically — 24 hours on the free plan, 72 hours on paid — leaving a compressed archive so re-renders keep working. A rendered video is kept until it has actually posted, to a maximum of 72 hours, and is never deleted while a post is still scheduled against it.

Account details, post history and performance figures are kept while your account is open. Records needed to account for money — earnings, licences, payouts — are retained after account deletion for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Operational logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

5. Cookies

One cookie: a signed, http-only session cookie that keeps you logged in. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no cross-site profiling. The site does not work without the session cookie, which is why there is no cookie banner asking about optional ones — there aren't any.

6. Email

song.money sends no email. Not marketing, not digests, not notifications. Team invitations and approvals are share links, and everything else happens in the product. If you receive an email claiming to be from song.money, it isn't.

7. Your choices

You can disconnect any platform at any time, from your dashboard or from the platform's own security settings — revoking there immediately ends our access. You can unpublish a song page or leave the showcase at any time. You can delete individual videos, tracks, or your whole account.

To erase everything, use the data deletion page, or email us. Deletion removes your account, tracks, videos, connected-account tokens and public contributions. Money records are retained as described above, and content someone else has already published elsewhere — for example a video already live on your own TikTok — is outside our control.

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or restrict processing of your data. Ask and we'll do it; we don't require a formal process.

8. Security

Platform tokens are encrypted at rest. Media is served through signed, expiring URLs rather than public links. Access to production data is limited to the operator of the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll tell you promptly if something happens that affects your data.

9. Children

song.money is not intended for people under 13, and the connected platforms have their own minimum ages. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

10. Contact

Questions, requests or complaints: embladedubstep@gmail.com. See also our terms of service. We'll post changes here with a new effective date.
